What CityTimeDate stores, which features contact external services, and how to clear preferences.
Dates submitted to the calculator
This form uses GET: dates appear in the URL and are sent to this server. They can remain in browser history and ordinary server logs. Results are not saved to a CityTimeDate account by this feature. Do not enter confidential dates in a shared browser.
Preferences on this device
The site stores selected cities and display preferences in your browser. A language preference is saved in local storage and a first-party cookie so your choice can be remembered. Clear this website’s data in your browser to remove these preferences. Each language also has its own URL.
External connections
The homepage uses Google Fonts, Leaflet from unpkg, and map/radar resources from RainViewer and OpenStreetMap when those features run; these providers can receive your IP address and request information. Nearby-station weather observations are downloaded in a shared batch by our server from NOAA/AWC. That provider receives the server IP, not visitor GPS, city selections or search text. This calculator and guide do not require those resources.
Before public release
Operator identity, privacy contact, hosting/log retention, analytics or advertising and applicable consent requirements must be confirmed before publication. Optional ad integration must remain disabled unless reviewed and disclosed. This pre-release notice is not a legal compliance guarantee or a promise that servers keep no logs.
